Aruba Police Force and University of Aruba join for pre-master development in academic leadership
ORANJESTAD - The Aruba Police Force pays close attention to leadership development within its force to strengthen personal leadership and a sustainable organization.
A significant aspect is developing academic knowledge and critical and analytical skills. That is why the High Commissioner, Mr. Ramon Arnhem, approached the University of Aruba (UA) for possible cooperation.
The result of the conversations is that seven police officers in the leadership section who were selected will start the next academic year with a Pre-master for the Master Governance and Leadership. The Pre-master with five subjects in the Scientific Bachelor Organization, Governance, and Management (OGM) lasts one year.
The WO bachelor program has received positive advice from NVAO (Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organization) again in 2023. KPA and UA wish the seven selected police officers success in their academic studies.
In this way, KPA continues to invest in the education of our police officers so that they can gain more knowledge in their leadership development in an academic manner.
