Selection Process
A committee consisting of one member of Parliament from each parliamentary faction represented in Parliament will review all nominations and select three finalists.
During the selection meeting, all members of Parliament will choose the recipient of the Hala di Shoco Award based on the committee’s recommendations.
Traditionally, the award is presented to the young recipient during the opening ceremony of the parliamentary year.
President Marlon Sneek emphasized that Aruba is home to many young people who possess talent, perseverance, and a genuine desire to make a positive contribution to society.
"Through the Hala di Shoco Award, we want to shine a spotlight on the young people who are making a difference and inspiring others to pursue their dreams and work toward a better Aruba," said Sneek.
