Aruba and Atlanta reach a new agreement for the export of musical talent.

ORANJESTAD - Michael Lampe, Cultural Diplomat of Aruba, together with Minister Plenipotentiary Zulema Erasmus, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Atlanta (Jaap Veerman), and the international urban music platform New Skool Rules, announce that Aruba and Atlanta have reached a new collaboration agreement.

With special attention to producers, artists, and songwriters of urban music in Aruba.

The partnership stems from last year's successful trip, which made a big difference in how the world views the creative ability of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. During the same mission, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited Atlanta, thus further showing the importance of the cultural bridge between the Kingdom and the United States.

Atlanta is recognized worldwide as the birthplace of modern hip-hop, R&B, and trap music and offers an unparalleled infrastructure for artistic development and international connection.

The new pathway opens up collaboration possibilities in:

  • Residence and writing camps for Aruban producers and artists in Atlanta;
  • Mentorship and networking access with top producers, A&Rs, and music labels;
  • International showcases and joint production;
  • Exchange of knowledge about music production, publishing, and creative industries.

Michael Lampe stated that this collaboration is a strategic investment for our cultural economy and a direct opportunity to put our Aruban talents on the world map. "Collaborating with strong partners like New Skool Rules and the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Atlanta allows us to create lasting international connections.

With this step, Aruba confirms its role as a bridge between Caribbean creativity and the international music industry, focusing on the sustainable export of cultural talent.
