Aruba Airport Authority N.V. Announces Start of New CEO Jonny Andersen
ORANJESTAD — Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) announces the start of Jonny Andersen as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 2026, following his appointment by the Government of Aruba.
Mr. Andersen brings more than 20 years of international airport leadership experience, having held senior executive roles across multiple airport organizations in Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean. He is recognized for his strong focus on operational excellence, financial discipline, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement, and joins AAA at an important moment in the airport’s development.
As CEO, Mr. Andersen will lead Aruba Airport Authority through its next phase, with a focus on safe, reliable, and high-performing operations, while advancing the airport’s long-term strategic priorities, including the continued implementation of the Gateway 2030 transformation program.
Commenting on his start, Mr. Andersen said: “I am honored to join Aruba Airport Authority and to work with such a committed and professional team. My priority in the first weeks is to listen, learn, and gain a deep understanding of the organization and its people. Aruba’s airport is critically important to the island, and there are no quick fixes. Delivering a strong airport requires a structured, thoughtful approach, while continuing to perform every day.
Being accessible, grounded, and fully engaged with our teams and partners is important to me. Together, we will continue to strengthen the airport’s role as a reliable, future-ready gateway for Aruba.”
Aruba Airport Authority looks forward to this next chapter under Mr. Andersen’s leadership, as the organization continues to enhance Queen Beatrix International Airport’s role in supporting Aruba’s connectivity, economy, and long-term development.
