Arrival of the Little League World Series International Sub-Champions

ORANJESTAD – On August 25, 2025, Aruba’s Little League baseball team returned home to Aruba after delivering an outstanding performance at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, USA.

At Queen Beatrix International Airport, Prime Minister Mike Eman and Minister of Sports Gerlien Croes, on behalf of the Government of Aruba, warmly welcomed the team, who proudly claimed the title of International Sub-Champion.

Prime Minister Eman expressed immense pride and admiration, emphasizing how the talent and dedication of Aruba’s youth can overcome the challenges of representing a small island on the world stage. He stated that this moment not only recognizes the team’s achievement but also reflects how Aruba stood behind them every step of the way. “Although they are the International Runner-Up, every step they take brings them closer to ultimate victory,” he remarked.
During the championship in Williamsport, Minister Croes also took the opportunity to sign an agreement with the Little League World Series organization to host the world championship in Aruba in 2027. The government expressed hopes that Aruba could claim the ultimate title on home soil.

To celebrate the team’s incredible achievement, the government organized a parade to unite the people of Aruba in celebration. Initially, organizers planned for a short parade, considering the players’ exhaustion after their hard-fought matches and long journey home. However, due to overwhelming enthusiasm from fans, the route was extended, passing through the streets of San Nicolas and concluding at Centro Dakota Bario.

The Government of Aruba proudly congratulates the players, coaching staff, parents, and everyone who contributed to the team’s remarkable success.
