Agreement for cooperation between SETAR Aruba and Saba Statia Cable System
ORANJESTAD—On August 13, 2025, Rene Herdé, the Minister of Infrastructure, Energy, and Telecommunications, was present for the signing of a cooperation agreement between SETAR Aruba and the Saba Statia Cable System.
This agreement aims to establish a fiber optic system that will improve internet speed and make it more affordable for the islands.
Minister Herdé expressed his great satisfaction with the significant commitment between the companies to establish an ultramodern connection between Aruba, Curaçao, and Bonaire, which will later link us to the United States.
The internet is a vital part of our daily lives, as it is used for both work and education. The project aligns with the government's vision for Aruba's development.
