Action Plan for Maintenance of the Lighting System at the Roly Bisslik Olympic Swimming Pool
ORANJESTAD – The Ministry of Sports announced that the installation of a total of six light poles at the Roly Bisslik Olympic Swimming Pool has been completed.
The project forms part of a broader maintenance and renovation plan for sports facilities throughout Aruba.
The first three light poles were recently renovated and installed, followed by the installation of the remaining three. With this, the lighting maintenance project for the facility has been fully completed. The work was finalized several days ago and has resulted in a more modern, safer, and more efficient infrastructure for Aruba’s sporting community.
Minister of Kingdom Relations, Education, Youth, Innovation and Sports, Mrs. Gerlien Croes, emphasized the importance of continued investment in sports infrastructure:
"As the Ministry of Sports, we recognize that high-quality infrastructure is essential to encouraging participation in sports. The upgraded lighting system will significantly improve the safety, functionality, and accessibility of the Roly Bisslik Olympic Swimming Pool. This will allow athletes and other users to make optimal use of the facility, including during evening hours."
The ministry remains committed to maintaining and improving sports facilities to ensure that athletes and sports organizations have access to safe, modern, and well-equipped venues.
