Acting Governor Receives Ambassador of Colombia to the Kingdom
ORANJESTAD—On August 4, 2025, the Acting Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Agustin Vrolijk, received Ms. Carolina Olarte Bácares, Ambassador of Colombia to the Kingdom, for an audience at the Cas Ceremonial di Gobernador..
During the audience, she was accompanied by Ms. Patricia Cortes Ortiz, Director of European Affairs at the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Gustavo Serrano Amaya, Consul of Colombia in Aruba; Mr. Luis Fernando Lara Cogolla, Captain of the ship ARC Gloria; and Mr. Xavier Simileer, Legal Policy Officer at the Directorate of Foreign Relations.
This was a courtesy visit during which, among other things, the role of the ship ARC Gloria for diplomatic purposes was discussed, as well as the close cooperation between Colombia and Aruba in the areas of trade, migration, security, and healthcare.
