ABO Foundation with three early cancer detection programs

This is an old post.

ORANJESTAD – The Department of Health Aruba informs that Stichting ABO, Aruba Bevolkings-Onderzoek (Aruba Population Research), is the organization responsible on our island for cancer screening programs.

In 2025, there will be three early detection programs in Aruba, two of which are new:

  • BOB: Already known to the public with its screening program for breast cancer detection.
  • BOCA: A new program for cervical cancer detection in women.
  • CORESA: A new program for colorectal cancer detection in both women and men.

ABO Foundation, with the necessary collaboration and acceptance from the public, will make it possible to offer and run these three preventive programs, which will benefit the entire community.

These three programs' goal is to reduce the mortality rate and help detect cancer at an early stage. Early detection can save lives!
