ORANJESTAD – On March 12, 2024, jointly with the Chief of Police, dr. Ramon Arnhem, and the Police Force Staff, the Minister of Justice and Social Affairs, handed over the new vehicles for the Police Force (KPA) at the Yrausquin car dealership.

With its new car fleet, the KPA is ready to continue its surveillance. The police vehicles not only feature different models and brands but also more advanced technology, with the newest model from the Whelen brand. There is also a radical change in the flashing lights from the formerly used blue and orange to blue and red. The change is for more visibility and security. The siren sound differs from the former car models and has a better sound. The new vehicles also have data terminals for the agents to be better equipped with information.

“Invest in our people, technology, and materials, and create a sense of security in our community and officers. The Police Force is in a positive development to create a solid base for KPA's future,” Chief of Police Arnhem stated.
