35 inmates at KIA have completed various courses
ORANJESTAD - On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, Minister of Justice and Social Affairs, Mr. Rocco Tjon, visited the Aruba Correctional Institute (KIA) to present certificates to 35 inmates who had completed various courses offered by FEPA.
The courses include Marketing and Sales, Basic Accounting, and Small Business. The inmates indicated that these are their preferred courses. While investments in KIA's infrastructure are necessary, investing in the inmates to successfully reintegrate them into society is invaluable. The certificates received by the inmates are recognized, and upon leaving KIA, they have a real opportunity to find employment.
The Ministry of Justice will continue to offer more courses throughout the year through FEPA, Enseñansa pa Empleo, and other NGOs.
The Minister of Justice thanked FEPA for organizing these courses and the KIA staff for providing security, guidance, and support.
