22 new digital books in Papiamento.
ORANJESTAD— The Language Section of the Aruba Department of Education (DEA) announces 22 new children's digital books in Papiamento.
This is a perfect occasion considering that just Aruba celebrated that 22 years ago Papiamento became an official language. A story for each year!
The books with various topics include, among others, an account of Compa Nanzi. There are stories for children of different ages, from kindergarten to 10 years. This is a translation of a story originally published on the website Storyweaver.
The books are available on two Department of Education Aruba websites: www.papiamento.aw and www.ea.aw. These sites host over 250 books in Papiamento for children and young people, showcasing an extensive collection!
To read the new books via the Storyweaver Stories page (under different age categories) here from www.papiamento.aw.
